On your mark, get set, row! Who says Sarikei has nothing much to do for fun? For 2 consecutive years, Sarikei had organised regattas like the dragon boat races in other countries. It's an occasion for Sarikei folks who turned out in force to watch the event in the tropical heat. It's better attended when held at Rejang River versus Nyelong River because of its proximity to town & its kopi tiams (coffee shops). Anything more than 5 minutes drive in Sarikei is considered far for most folks.

Hahha, refering to "Anything more than 5 minutes drive in Sarikei is considered far for most folks."
This statement is applicable to most Sarikei folks, especially the older generations :)
